Brian J. Palmer, Director of Training

             Brian J. Palmer recently was appointed as Director of Training at Local 251’s Driving School in 2016. With Brian’s appointment comes  17+ years of experience in the unionized LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight/transportation industry. He is a third generation Teamster and professional truck driver who started his career working on the docks stripping and loading freight overnight at ABF in Seekonk, MA. After getting his license he spent the next 15 years driving locally in Rhode Island and Southeastern MA. Experience in residential flatbed piggy back work, driving double trailers, tri axles and 53 ft trailers on approved routes and the interstate,  he was recognized by ABF with a  Bronze Safe Driving award for his 15 safe years on the road.  
               
                 Brian comes to the driving school with the understanding of the industry and  as a younger driver can easily communicate the new rules, regulations and company procedures in the digital age with every student.  With the advantages to becoming a professionally trained tractor trailer driver with the Teamsters, Brian fully recognizes the need for future drivers in the industry and the fulfilling career that can be had by acquiring a CDL-A license here at  Local 251’s Driving School.
