The FMCSA sets the rules governing commercial drivers and their main objective is
the prevention of accidents and injuries to drivers and the general public

  • OSHA 10 / 30 Training

This training is required for many construction companies to access the job sites. Although this certification is not required by us at the school we do recommend getting this certification.
  • TSA Hazmat pre-enrollment

In  2005 under federal law, qualified CDL drivers looking to haul hazardous

materials (hazmat) are required  to be fingerprinted and have a background check performed before renewing or applying for a hazmat endorsement. Like many endorsements this is not required to drive a commercial vehicle but many local companies require this endorsement for employment.
