You are not alone, but luckily the Teamsters Driving School is listed on the Eligible Training Provider List (EPTL) in and is affordable! For those looking for a better opportunity for themselves and possibly their family with a CDL license that costs little to nothing out of pocket the Teamsters Local 251 Driving School is specifically grant driven for those who qualify. The Teamsters Driving School is listed and approved for funding in the following workforce boards:
Central Region
Metro South/West
Bristol
As a Massachusetts resident who may be laid off or is facing an impending layoff, you may be eligible for what as known as Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) federal funding. While this funding is not guaranteed it never hurts to speak with a counselor at any one of the Career Centers. The staff employed at any of these career centers are all very knowledgeable of many of the programs listed on the EPTL. Who know you may end up pursuing a completely different career path and that is totally ok! The staff at the Teamsters is here to help guide you through the process and are available to answer any questions that you may have.
