Important Changes Regarding Medical Exam Scheduling
Going forward the Driving School will no longer be scheduling these exams through our online scheduler interface. If you or someone you know needs a USDOT Medical Exam, the Driving School will still continue to host these on-site medical exams for the convenience of our members and those who are looking to participate in the Driving School, once per month. Please we are asking you to contact our nurse, Christine Kile directly via her email by filling out the form linked below. She will be more than happy to set up an appointment with you and this helps to alleviate any confusion in the furture. If for any reason she is unable to schedule you an appointment please contact the school below and we will be more than happy to assist.
If you operate a commercial vehicle in the United States, you may need a USDOT medical card, also known as a Medical Examiner’s Certificate. This card is required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to show that you meet the necessary physical qualifications for operating a commercial vehicle. To obtain one, you must pass a physical examination conducted by a certified medical examiner listed on the National Registry. Be sure to carry your valid medical card with you while driving, as it may be requested during inspections or by law enforcement officers.
The Teamsters Local 251 Driving School’s on site USDOT registered nurse comes to the training school the first Wednesday of every Month with the exception of April and Holidays to make sure you meet this very important requirement.
